I battled an eating disorder for many years. I fought my way through countless treatment centers, meal plans, and therapies. Someone told me I would never get better. People lost hope in me and worse, I lost hope in myself.
I actually believed in God, but I had no idea how to invite Him into my recovery. I wanted to do it my way. It wasn't until I reached complete desperation, got down on my knees, and finally stopped trying to manage the surface symptoms on my own self-will that true healing began. I realized since then that God didn't just want to change my actions; He wanted to change my heart.
Today, my life tells a completely different story. Freedom sounded like a lie before. This time, it’s reality.
